Human-Centered Expertise

Design Around Real Human Needs

Inclusive design begins by understanding how people experience a space, product, or service. Highly Sensitive Design considers sensory, cognitive, behavioral, functional, environmental, and aesthetic needs together. Recommendations can support learning, regulation, social acceptance, and well-being while addressing environments originally shaped around neurotypical norms. The result is practical, personalized design guidance that gives project clients confidence their users have been thoughtfully considered.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the role of a design consultant?

A design consultant helps clients understand goals, users, constraints, and opportunities, then develops recommendations that guide design decisions. For inclusive and accessibility-focused work, that may include reviewing environments, identifying sensory or functional challenges, recommending products or design language, and supporting project teams.
